Buhl Regional Health Foundation to offer Fall 2019 Grant Workshop Series

The Buhl Regional Health Foundation will offer a 4-week grant workshop series, taught by Jennifer Barborak, UPMC Horizon Community Health Foundation, which will begin on Thursday, October 24, 2019. The series will focus on the basics of grant writing and specifics to the Buhl Regional Health Foundation application process for non-profit organizations who plan to apply for funding to address community health and wellbeing within the next 12 months.

The sessions will be held weekly beginning Thursday, October 24 through November 14, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the BRHF office, located at 701 Pierce Ave., Suite 1, in Sharpsville, PA. This series will include an overview of the grant process for those applying for funds from foundations, not Federal or State grants. Topics covered will include Grant Seeking and Identifying Priorities, Pieces of the Grant, Putting it All Together, and After the Proposal. There is no fee for the grant series. Class is limited to 15 and will be determined on a first come-first serve basis. No more than two (2) people per agency may participate.

*The programs funded by Buhl Regional Health Foundation must focus on the health care needs or community health of the greater Sharon regional area. The grant requests must clearly demonstrate collaborative partnerships, and a program or initiative that focuses on, and invests in all people impacted by health-related needs throughout their lives.
