Buhl Regional Health Foundation Awards Grants for the Spring 2018 Cycle

Eight community non-profit agencies received grants Thursday, March 29, 2018, totaling $141,500 from Buhl Regional Health Foundation. The agencies will use the grants for mental and physical health or health-related programs in the Foundation’s service area. A brief meeting was held to distribute the grant awards and congratulate the agency leaders and grant writers who worked to request the funds for their organizations. Agencies, their programs, and grant awards are: —Building Blocks Child Center, Natural Playground: $15,000. —Community Counseling Center of Mercer County, Non-Opioid Recovery & Pain Mgmt. BRHF Action Teams Working to Collaborate in 2018

Previous participation in capacity-building events that Buhl Regional Health Foundation (BRHF) has held and their continued interest in working together for community health and wellbeing has identified approximately 75 Action Team participants as assets in leadership for the Sharon regional area.  We look forward to hosting them to encourage dialogue about advancing collaborative impacts on specific community issues. Buhl Regional Health Foundation Releases its Web-Based Grant Application

Buhl Regional Health Foundation (BRHF) introduced its online grant application process on July 20, 2017. The web-based program can now be accessed on their website. The “Buhl Regional Health Foundation Online Grant Portal,” streamlines the application process and provides an impartial presentation format for the applicants. BRHF Announces Grant Application Eligibility Requirements

The Buhl Regional Health Foundation (BRHF) has begun the grant application process.  The foundation plans to start awarding the first grants in October 2017.   The BRHF staff, Grants Committee, and Board of Directors will review and evaluate all grant requests.  The grant application and review procedure will utilize an online request process to collect and evaluate applicant information. There are a few prerequisites for which an applying organization should be prepared. Buhl Regional Presents Forum Findings

Nearly ninety people attended the Buhl Regional Health Foundation’s Findings Review on 1/20/17. Executive Director, Mickey Gula presented the results of the October 2016 Forum where nearly 170 community leaders from 94 agencies and organizations provided input concerning health needs in our communities. At the Findings Review, three different Community Action Teams were formed with over 70 attendees signing up to participate.
