April is Stress Awareness Month!

March 24, 2026

April is Stress Awareness Month, a time dedicated to recognizing how stress affects our minds, bodies, and daily lives. And let’s be honest — most of us don’t need a reminder that stress exists. Between work deadlines, family responsibilities, news alerts, and the never-ending to-do list, you’re probably already very aware. The purpose of this month isn’t to introduce stress, but to encourage healthier ways to manage it. Chronic stress can impact sleep, mood, focus, and overall wellbeing, but small, consistent habits can help bring things back into balance.

A few simple reminders for managing stress:

  • Take short breaks throughout the day — even five minutes helps.
  • Move your body in ways you enjoy.
  • Set realistic expectations (you don’t have to do everything at once).
  • Step away from screens when possible.
  • Connect with someone you trust.
  • Prioritize sleep and hydration.
  • Give yourself permission to pause and reset.

Stress may be unavoidable, but caring for yourself is always worth the effort.
