The Buhl Regional Health Foundation is a private health foundation. We support the important work of non-profit agencies that strive to improve the health of Mercer County’s children and, in-turn, improve the health outcomes of the entire county. We do this by listening, partnering, and providing resources.
Mini Grants
The Buhl Regional Health Foundation will open applications on a rolling process for mini-grants – grant funding requests of $5,000 and less – tp support organizational projects with the potential for big impact despite minimal budgetary requirements.
This application has been developed to support smaller grant requests of up to $5,000 that meet the guidelines of BRHF grant policy.

Application schedule
Applications for Mini-grants are accepted on a rolling schedule. All mini-grants applied for in the rolling process will be reviewed by the Board at the next available meeting of the Board of Directors.
The 2023 Board Meetings are as follows:
- March 23, 2023
- May 4, 2023
- September 21, 2023
- November 16, 2023
*Please note that Buhl Regional Health Foundation will only accept ONE funding request within 18 months and an organization seeking subsequent funding for a BRHF-funded project must provide the previous grant’s final report and wait 18 months from the original funding date before reapplication*
Eligibility
Those requesting funds must…
- be a nonprofit organization with a 501(c)(3) status or that operates under the fiscal sponsorship of a tax-exempt non-profit, including schools, churches and public organizations
- assist organizations within Mercer County
- be aligned with Buhl Regional Health Foundation’s mission
Grant Exclusions
The Buhl Regional Health Foundation will not fund:
- Individuals
- For-profit entities
- Lobbying/political campaigns
- Debt reduction/existing financial obligations
- Foreign operations or expenditures
- Fundraising event sponsorship
- Membership in civic organizations
- Endowment support
- Purchase of vehicles
This is not an exclusive list. Our staff, Grants Committee and Board of Directors will determine all inclusions and exclusions.
