Community Dental Clinic

The Community Dental Clinic serves to help bridge the gap for people who reside in Mercer County with no access to dental care. 

Mission Statement

To improve the oral health of the community by addressing health disparities and inequities in dental treatment and education. The goal of the clinic includes identifying those residing in Mercer County who are in need of oral health care due to lack of financial resources and the inability to find a provider in a timely manner. Consideration will be given to all patients and factors to be considered will include the immediate nature of the problem I.e. pain swelling and function.

The Community Dental Clinic was established to bridge the gap in access to dental care in Mercer County. By offering a holistic approach to patient care, we seek to ensure that those in our community who are most vulnerable have access to essential oral health services. Our goal is to deliver not just treatment but also education, empowering patients to maintain their dental health long-term.

How to Get Care

We’re here to help you access affordable dental care. Follow the steps below to get started. 

1. Check if you qualify

Before getting started, make sure you meet the program requirements.

  1. Patients must reside in Mercer County at the time of appointment.
  2. Patients must have Medicaid – this is for vetting, not billing. 

If you’re unsure, don’t worry. Link the Valley can help you determine if you qualify.

2. Contact Link the Valley

To begin the process, contact Link the Valley. They will guide you through the next steps.

3. Get Your Initial Exam

Link the Valley will provide your initial dental exam.

During this visit:

  • They will check your oral health
  • Identify what care you need
  • Help determine next steps

If additional treatment is needed, Link the Valley will refer you to the Community Dental Clinic and let you know when your referral is complete.

4. Schedule Your Dental Appointment

Link the Valley will provide you with the phone number to call and schedule your dental appointment.

5. Complete your patient forms once you have your appointment date

What to Expect

The Community Dental Clinic provides follow-up and additional treatment.

You will be told when you are ready to schedule your clinic appointment.

Please note, the following services are NOT provided: 

  • Impacted Wisdom Teeth
  • Root Canals
