Mini Grants

The Buhl Regional Health Foundation is a private health foundation. We support the important work of non-profit agencies that strive to improve the health of Mercer County’s children and, in-turn, improve the health outcomes of the entire county. We do this by listening, partnering, and providing resources.

Mini Grants

Buhl Regional Health Foundation will award mini-grants in 2025 for implementation of initiatives that strive to increase children’s access to optimal health and well-being and/or improve their access to quality, holistic healthcare. BRHF gives preference to youth-based funding requests.

BRHF’s Mini-Grants Application has been developed to support smaller grant requests of up to $5,000 that meet the guidelines of BRHF grant policy.

Funds are available until exhausted for current budget year.

Interested applicants are welcome to reach out to Kimberly Porsch, Director of Grantmaking, to discuss an idea before submitting an online application.

Funding requests will only be accepted through our online grant portal via our website – follow the button below.

*Note: a request is not a guarantee for funding

Application schedule

Mini-grants are best suited for requests that are not time-sensitive. Mini-Grants will be reviewed by a BRHF committee and approvals/denials will be determined at our 5 Board Meetings per year. The 2025 Board Meeting dates are:

  • Thursday, February 20th
  • Thursday, May 15th
  • Thursday, September 4th
  • Thursday, November 20th

*Please note that Buhl Regional Health Foundation may limit funding requests to one within an 18-month period. Organizations seeking additional funding for a BRHF-funded project must submit the previous grant’s final report, and an 18-month waiting period may be required before reapplying.
