The Buhl Regional Health Foundation (BRHF) has begun the grant application process. The foundation plans to start awarding the first grants in October 2017. The BRHF staff, Grants Committee, and Board of Directors will review and evaluate all grant requests. The grant application and review procedure will utilize an online request process to collect and evaluate applicant information.
There are a few prerequisites for which an applying organization should be prepared.
- The applicant must be a tax exempt, non-profit organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. More Information
- The proposed grant request should align with the BRHF’s mission and focus areas: “Addressing Mental and Physical Health Needs” and “Access to Healthcare”. More Information
- Applicants must be within the BRHF’s geographical service area and the original coverage footprint of Sharon Regional Health System. More Information
You will need to provide your contact information, a Letter of Inquiry (LOI), and upload your IRS Determination Letter (as proof of 501(c)(3) status). If your organization meets these requirements, and you are not requesting funds for which we have exclusions, you can visit the Buhl Regional Health Foundation Online Grant Portal to apply for consideration. A video tutorial outlining this part of the application process can be seen here.
